About a month ago we were flying back home after shooting this destination wedding in Playa del Carmen. It was a beautiful wedding at this lovely place that we had never actually had the chance to visit. We met with Itzel and her friends a day before the wedding to get some snaps by the beach, and well… sometimes you just know a wedding will be fun even before it actually happens. We were not wrong. Itzel, Carlos, plus all their family and friends do know how to party 😀
Few days ago I was talking with Sunny about how photography not only preserves memories, it also creates them. As time goes by, often times what is left with us are images of things that once happened. As we capture reality we are capturing our perspective, our point a view, not reality per se. On one hand this is a bit of a scary thought. On the other hand, however, I think knowing this makes every photo and every moment much more valuable and – in a sense – it also places a huge responsibility on us as image creators.
We are moved by life, love, and all of the emotions that we get to see at every wedding. We shoot with purpose and intention, giving value to something every time we decide to click the shutter. We know the importance of what we do. We don’t take our clients’ trust for granted and we go through great lengths to give our 100% in what we do every single time.
We hope you enjoy some of our favorite photos captured at Itzel and Carlos’ wedding. We are so happy to find couples that are so much fun and so authentic. They truly treated us as if we were their friends and part of the wedding itself. Really. Dream clients.
Thank you so much for watching and following along guys. Much love!
Sunny & Robert
