We recently had the opportunity to document Alejandra and Fernando at their destination wedding in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. Since most of our work is away from home we try to spend a few days around the area prior to every wedding. Here in Mexico we travel lightly, actually, and we’ve started to make it a habit to travel without laptops or pending work. Whatever needs to be completed stays back home while we’re out. That way, at least we do get a few days without everyday distractions or stress. This also allows to take our mind off other things and we can focus fully on actually ‘taking photos’ when the time comes.
And… well… it’s always a good time to take photos.
Photography is, among other things, part of our lifestyle. Our passion for images, their meaning, or even their purpose is something that pops up in conversations again and again in our everyday. It strikes us as surprising how unusual this perspective is, but we see photography at weddings as something full of surprise, always changing, always charged with meaning, allowing us to discover new ways of seeing and connecting with those that trust us in such an important occasion.
Weddings are life. Weddings are people. Weddings are love. Weddings are stories that we are honored tell. And we are so happy to share this one with you!
