What is Love?

Wedding photography in shenzhen china

I (R) remember having several conversations with Sunny discussing about our photography and where we wanted to take this side of our brand. In a way we knew we already had a very strong vision and direction with the video side, but when we decided to introduce photography we were not necessarily trying to emulate what we were doing with our films. We felt as if with our films we were able to get to a place only films could take us, and we wanted the same for our photography.

In the end, we had an epiphany. The foundation of our wedding films is the language of cinema. How about making the foundation of our wedding photography the language of photography?

So we opted to make our wedding photography about photography, not necessarily what is known as “wedding photography.” We started shooting what resonated with us, and without forcing it, our images also started to feel like us.

We are humbled and thankful that we have found clients that also connect with our love for what we do. I still think our work is so much about people, and so much about reality presented as it is. It feels like in many ways we are going against popular opinion, but the most meaningful images are not always found in the most spectacular. They are everywhere, all the time, and around all of us.
