It’s been a while since we posted and entire Feature! This one is about 15 minutes. A beautiful and rainy day wedding we shot in Chongqing, China.
Years ago we used to think that making wedding films would become easier with time. And perhaps at first it did become a bit easier or simpler in the technical aspect, the tools and how to use them. But after this we realized we had to set new challenges and goals every single time to continue growing, just so that we would be able to find more depth in our work and also so that we wouldn’t stop developing our vision. So we had to change a little bit my way of thinking. Making wedding films didn’t become easier, and we’re okay with that :D. The challenges continue, and they seem harder and harder every single time haha. Especially when it comes to editing.
Oh yes… editing.
It’s interesting because people like to talk about the music, or the static/minimal look, the equipment we use, or the audio, but there’s only been one or two people that have ever mentioned editing to us. It’s a good thing though. It’s meant to be (mostly) invisible. This has also encouraged us to continue experimenting with the form, the outside, changing what others “expect” from our work in terms of what they see or hear, while trying to reveal in different ways the true heart of what we do.
I think that the heart of our work can’t exactly be put into words. It’s beautiful when some of you all get it through the film itself :D.
